Al-Masawi's Aesthetic Structure Represented in the Ruin Scene: Libid Bin Abi Rabiaa's Muallaqa as an Example
This paper seeks to justify the phenomenon of the Muallaqa's (suspended ode) ruin opening lines in the Jahili's (pre-islamic) Arabic poetry. It is based on the concepts of aesthetics and explores the humanistic view of the pre-Islamic Arab poets regarding death, time cycle and temporal-spatial changes.
This study also fathoms the phenomenon of the ruin scene in the pre-islamic Arabic poetry from its early examples which have been transferred to us. This is duly done by studying the introductory ruin opening lines in Labid Bin Abi Rabiaa's Muallaqa (ode).
Indeed, this analytical textual study is based upon the recent approach that invests the standards and concepts of aesthetics in irder reveal the memtal as well as aesthetic structures of Al-Masawi's (the tragic) concept and the humanistic views of that phenomenon through the temporal-spatial changes.
In fact, this research has to dig into the former studies that are relating to its topic. Those studies are chosen as they have sought to get this study's aim and terms by modelling the structure of Al-Masawi's (the tragic) aesthetic concept by the sample of ruin scene. It also cites the former findings which have tackled the various conceptual structures of Al-Masawi's (tragic) elements in the ruin scene of Labid's Muallaqa (ode) as well as the whole aesthetic structures that represent the conceptual components of Al-Massawi (the tragic).
This study makes use of the dicttionaries which have verbal suggestive expressions as regards the aesthetic standards of Al-Masawi (the tragic). Then, the aesthetic values of the poetic depiction as well as the aecho of the rhythm in Al- Masawi's (the tragic) lines of verse and its symbolic structure will be tackled as the poets represents them.
