الملخص

  1. The aim of the research is to identify the basic science processes skills that must be available in the science book for the fifth grade, and to identify the degree of inclusion of the basic science processes skills in the science book for the fifth grade, the research sample included the first part of the science book for the fifth grade, and the researcher used a content analysis from that she prepared, and its validity and reliability were verified. Among the most important results reached:
    - Determine the basic science processes skills that must be available in the science book for the fifth grade ,which are Observing, Classifying, Inference, Communicating, Predicting, Measuring.
    - The book included the basic science processes skills, with a total of 382 repetition according to the following order:
    - Inference skill with total number of 117 repetition, a percentage of 31,62%, and a high score.
    - Communicating skill with total number of 106 repetition, a percentage of 27,74%, and a high score.
    - Observing skill with total number of 99 repetition, a percentage of 25,91%, and a high score.
    - Classifying skill with total number of 36 repetition, a percentage of 9,42%, and a low score.
    - Predicting skill with total number of 16 repetition, a percentage of 4,18%, and a low score.
    - Measuring skill with total number of 8 repetition, a percentage of 2,09%, and a low score.
    One of the most important proposal is to include the science book for the fifth grade with the skills of Classifying, Predicting, Measuring, to a greater extent by diversifying scientific activities and experiments.
