The purpose of this study is to study the effectiveness of the analogous picture in shawky's poetry story and its function in describing its events or describing its characters.

The research beigns with a brief overview of the concept of the picture in general and the analog image in particular. And then study the types of analogy contained in the story of " the largest incidents in the Nile Valley" with the analysis of models of each type a rhetorically and linguistically to reveal the aesthetics of the image in the story, to the effectiveness of the image and its importance.
