It differentiates between the criteria of intentionality and acceptability, as well as the concept of grammaticality and acceptability. It studies the conditions of acceptability and the factors influencing it among ancient and modern scholars, and studies the types of reading and types of readers. it analyzes The acceptability criterion in the poem "The Students congregated at the House of Al-Khalil ibn Ahmed Al-Farahidi" in light of the descriptive and pragmatic approaches through studying the poet's style, the relationship between the title and the text, the clarity and ambiguity of meanings and rhetorical images, the type of text, the types of receivers, the semantics of the context, and the impact of all of this on the achievement or failure of acceptability.
